Tips to improve voice:
February 24, 2010‘SING’! Sing as much as you can! Sing until you hit the exact note after striking a chord on piano.
Avoid heavy foodstuffs, particularly dairy products and thick drinks a couple of days before any performance.
Water, is what you need to drink all the time. If it is lukewarm the better. In addition to that too spicy or oil or even sour food can affect your voice box.
Some the exercises you can do to improve your breathing are inhaling for a single count and exhaling for 2 and slowly increase it, taking a big breath and blowing as hard as you can, as a superhero would to blow a huge fire and even plain deep breathing will go a long way in getting the best of your voice
If you really want to know how to improve singing voice quality, it is extremely important that you are relaxed and warm up before a performance. Never start a song directly without warming up, which includes deep breathing and relaxing your body to gear up for the performance. Proceed to light humming from there and gauging the scale once you are ready. As far as possible avoid singing on the top of your volume and straining your vocal chords.

Letting go of pain
February 19, 2010I read from a book that to let go of pain, you first have to know where it is coming from and feel it… really really feel it in its purest sense. Get hurt and hurt yourself even more as you soak your heart into it. Recognize it as it tries to haunt your life and observe it. Then you’ll know what its like and how it feels. Then you’ll know that you can survive it. Then you are ready to let go.
The Voice
February 18, 2010I want a beautiful voice
For singing
That when I sing, I touch the heart.
Until it reaches your soul.
Until it goes deeper and deeper
Until you feel my song.
For speaking
That when I speak, you listen.
Until you learn.
Until you understand.
Until you live by the words I said.
I want a beautiful voice
That can be heard without speaking.
I want you to listen until you hear what I haven’t said.
Until you know the words that I can’t say.
Until you know me.
Until you understand the real me.
Past vs. Present
February 17, 2010As I was browsing through my old blogsite, I came across one of my posts dated February 28, 2007:
futuristic
I wonder what the future holds for me…
Will I really achieve my ideal weight?
Will I still be studying in AUSL come first sem next school year?
Will I meet the right guy for me?
If not, do I have the capacity to change that? or… totoo nga bang nakatakda na ang dapat?
Wala… napaisip lang ako.
NOW, guess what…
Will I achieve my ideal weight? Yep, I already did.
Will I still be studying in AUSL come first sem next sch year? Oh hey! I graduated last March 2009 and got my LLB.
Will I meet the right guy for me? I would not know who’s the right guy but I spent my happiest days with the one starting June2007.
So to sum, I guess my wishes were fulfilled. Wishes do come true.
